Academic Activities and Responsibilities

Dr. Roggio attended University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He began residency in Emergency Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital and completed training at University of Maryland Medical Center, becoming Residency Chief and completing an Emergency Department Administration Fellowship. Dr. Roggio is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine by the Amercian Board of Emergency Medicine.

 

Dr. Roggio is the current Assistant Director of Emergency Medicine at University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus, and is the Director of Telehealth for University of Maryland Department of Emergency Medicine, acting as the Clinical Director of UMEM TeleTriage and TeleSNF. Dr. Roggio also serves as Chair of UMMC Midtown Hospital's Medical Staff Quality Committee as well as the UMMC Midtown Hospital Opioid Task Force.

Interests Include: Telehealth, Emergency Department and Hospital Administration, Quality Assurance, Opioids and Addiction, Physician Wellness, Patient Satisfaction, Medical Student and Resident Education, and Insurance/Reimbursement
